Missing the Southern Race

Our family registered in the Southern Race but my children and I missed it.  My husband did it alone and he has nothing but nice words about that race.  He truly enjoyed the experience despite running sans his family and rushing back to watch Pacquiao- Hatton bout in the big screen.

How come we missed that race?  What happened to the running family? Well,  the mother and the kids hied off to the Lion City and spent our annual R & R there.   It was supposed to be a family affair but  call of duty and interest of work prevented my husband from joining us.

For the four us, it was an experience we shall all treasure forever.  We had fun and adventure together.  We had a great time even though we  spent most of our waking hours in walking, walking and walking.  We tried the luge, sky ride, sky tower, cable car and go-green segway in addition to other attractions in Sentosa.  We also made sure that we  included running in our itinerary.   Running in foreign land is something worth doing as it energized and prepared us for all our activities.  We also observed that runners in Singapore can run anytime of the day.  There were runners in the morning, at lunch time and even at 11:30 p.m.  Security is not an issue and special walkways are provided for them.  Cool!
